Chris Stapleton has much to mull over in “Tryin’ to Untangle My Mind,” the latest track from the country sensation’s upcoming album “From A Room: Volume 2.”

The recent Stern Show guest starts off the song (above) by singing about all the women, whiskey, and money he’s had and gone through, but later reveals it left him “lonesome and stoned” as well as in need of some serious mind untangling.

Co-written by Stapleton, Jaron Boyer, and Kendell Marvel, the ditty mixes blues, rock, traditional country, and twang for a final product which resonates so well with audiences that its already trending on YouTube.

“From A Room: Volume 2,” hitting shelves Dec. 1, is a follow-up to Stapleton’s chart-topping May album “From A Room: Volume 1,” released just a few days before his Stern Show debut in which he and Howard discussed life, music, and the recording process. The Grammy-winner explained his “From A Room” albums are named after RCA’s historic Studio A in Nashville, where he and producer Dave Cobb recorded all the songs and where Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings, and even Elvis Presley had laid down tracks in years prior.

“There’s a lot of history in that room,” Chris told Howard. “It certainly inspires me.”

In addition to a wide-ranging interview, Chris’s Stern Show debut included an acoustic rendition of his hit “Broken Halos.” Check Stapleton’s performance (below).
