VIDEO: Robert Pattinson Tames the Wild West With a Miniature Horse in ‘Damsel’ Trailer

2017 Stern Show guest stars opposite Mia Wasikowska in the upcoming comedy

Robert Pattinson has reunited with his “Map to the Stars” co-star Mia Wasikowska in “Damsel,” a quirky comedy about love, whiskey, and tiny horses in the Wild West.

Set around 1870, the trailer (above) shows affluent pioneer Samuel Alabaster (Pattinson) heading deep into the American wilderness while hoping to find his lost love Penelope (Wasikowska). He’s accompanied on his journey by a miniature horse named Butterscotch, which he hopes to present to Penelope as a dowry of sorts, as well as a drunken officiant played by co-director David Zellner. Samuel’s quest to find love won’t be easy, however, and the trailer suggests the lines between hero, villain, and damsel are sure to be blurred.

Robert spoke about the trials and tribulations of real-life romance during his 2017 Stern Show debut. The British-born actor revealed dating him actually comes with its fair share of difficulties, including crazed fans, swarming paparazzi, and a hectic schedule. Robert also shared stories from several notable film projects, including the “Twilight” franchise and “Good Time,” the indie thriller he stopped by to promote.

“Damsel” premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and opens June 22 in select theaters. Check out the trailer (above).
