VIDEO: Liam Neeson’s Revenge Is a Dish Best Served Frosty in ‘Cold Pursuit’ Trailer

“Taken” star's upcoming action film hits theaters in February

Liam Neeson is out for revenge. Again—and this time he’s serving it up ice cold.

The “Taken” star and perennial action hero has taken his talents to the frozen tundra in the first trailer for “Cold Pursuit,” Lionsgate’s frost-bitten remake of the Norwegian thriller “In Order of Disappearance.”

Neeson plays Nels Coxman, a mild-mannered snowplow driver, family man, and well-liked citizen whose entire life gets upended after his son overdoses on heroin and dies. After finding out an organized crime syndicate might be responsible for giving his son the poison, Neeson unleashes an avalanche of violence upon an assortment of drug dealers, thugs, and unsuspecting henchmen as he hunts down a crime lord nicknamed Viking (Tom Bateman).

Neeson exacts his revenge in all manner of ways in the trailer (above), including with crowbars, saws, sniper rifles, a Christmas tree, and of course eventually a snowplow. Stern Show fans might remember the multi-talented action star being a topic of conversation during one of Ike Barinholtz’s recent visits during which Ike revealed Neeson gave him some memorable acting advice on the set of their 2017 movie, ”Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House.”

“He takes me aside, and he goes, ‘Hey Ike … I want you to remember, in this movie, I’m your boss and you’re being fucking rude to me right now. So, on this next take, don’t be fucking rude,'” Ike told Howard. “He gave me a great note.” Listen to more of Ike and Howard’s conversation (below).

“Cold Pursuit,” co-starring Laura Dern, Emmy Rossum, William Forsythe, Julia Jones, and soundc, thaws out in theaters Feb. 8, 2019.
