Warner Bros. has finally given birth to the official trailer for its eagerly anticipated musical drama “A Star Is Born,” directed by Bradley Cooper who stars in the film opposite fellow Stern Show guest Lady Gaga.

Gaga—following in the footsteps of Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland—takes center stage as Ally, a struggling musician on the verge of abandoning her artistic aspirations until she’s discovered by a washed-up country singer named Jackson Maine (Cooper). He takes an immediate shine to Ally, as the trailer (above) teases, and attempts to help her conquer her stage fright. Their relationship grows complicated, however, after they start to fall for each other.

Lady Gaga, who makes her feature film debut in “A Star Is Born,” discussed the film with Howard at length during a 2016 Stern Show visit. In addition to revealing she loved the script and cried as she read it, she said Bradley was the one who brought her onboard the project—one she’s “very honored” to be part of. Listen to her full sit-down with the King of All Media (below), with her conversation about “A Star Is Born” beginning at around the 35-minute mark.

“A Star Is Born” is the directorial debut for Cooper, who spoke to Howard all about his career during his 2015 Stern Show visit. The film co-stars Stern Show guests Andrew Dice Clay and Dave Chappelle as well as Halsey, Sam Elliott, and Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.

“A Star Is Born” opens Oct. 5. Watch the official trailer (above).
